Daughter of the great Norse god, Odin, and one of the Valkyries. A tragic woman from Norse mythology.
A warrior maiden who is the same being as Sigrdrifa in the Volsunga Saga, the great hero Sigurd's doomed lover. Her story is told in the Edda poems Sigrdrifumal, and Brynhild's Ride to Hel, depicting her as the Valkyrie who fell in love with Sigurd.
