Devil's Building Climber - Great Battle at Himeji Castle is a limited-time event celebrating Halloween. Orleans must be cleared before players can participate in this event. This event is divided into two halves, with the second half appearing at 28th October 2017 (Midnight JST). Clearing the main quest line in the event earns you one of the two Halloween Alter-Ego Servants. You may pick between Mecha Eli-chan () and Mecha Eli-chan Mk. II (). They have identical skills but different illustrations, flavor text, names, battle sprites, voice lines, and Bond Craft Essences. (Craft Essences have different illustrations and flavor text but the same skill.)

Unlocking Quests

1. Clear Chapter 2 and unlock Mission 23 (Defeat 6 Pumpkin Knights). Clear Guest Room (貴賓室) until you complete this mission, which unlocks Chapter 3.

Free Quest Unlock: Clearing Chapter 2 also unlocked Mission 75. Continue clearing Guest Room (貴賓室) until you complete this mission, which unlocks Watchtower (監視塔).

2. Clear Chapter 3 to unlock Mission 28 (Defeat 8 Scarecrows) and Attendants' Room. Clear Attendants' Room (従者の間) three times to complete this mission and unlock Mission 10 and Prayer Room.
3. Clear Prayer Room (祈りの間). This should complete Mission 10 (Defeat 25 Pumpkin Enemies), which unlocks Chapter 4.
4. Clear Chapter 4 to unlock Soldiers' Corridor. Clear Soldiers' Corridor (武者走り) to complete Mission 3, which unlocks Mission 36.

• Free Quest Unlock: Clearing Soldiers' Corridor unlocked Mission 46 and Mission 62. Clear these (see below) to unlock Double Doors (二重扉) and Armory (武具庫).
• Clearing 10 missions unlocked Great Staircase (大階段). Clear this stage to obtain Mission 76. Complete this by clearing Attendants' Room to unlock Great Corridor (大回廊). This also counts towards other missions at the same time. (Berserker, Chaotic, Pyramid quest, Homunculi, 4 Demonic mobs).

5. If you have unlocked the Free quest nodes via the bulleted points above, you should also have completed Mission 36 (Defeat 20 Homunculi). This unlocks Chapter 5.
6. Clear Chapter 5 to unlock East Great Pillar (東大柱) and Chapter 6, finishing the first half of the event.

• Free Quest Unlock: Clearing Chapter 5 unlocked Mission 56, which should be automatically completed if you have done Attendants' Room in the last set of bulleted points. Otherwise, Berserker servants are also available at Double Doors (二重扉) and West Great Pillar (西大柱). Clearing Mission 56 unlocks High Windows (高窓).
• Clearing Chapter 5 also unlocked Missions 19 and 77. Mission 77 should be prioritised since it gives a copy of

  

  Nostalgic Form as a reward. Clear Armory (with

  

  and

  

  equipped; Demonic, Himeji quests, Agility A, Pumpkin Skeletons) until you have completed both missions, which unlocks West Great Pillar (西大柱) and Warrior's Hideout (武者隠し).

7. Complete Chapter 6/7 to unlock Mission 14 (Defeat 30 Mecha Enemies). Check if you have any other uncompleted nodes with mecha enemies then clear Castle Gates (城門) to complete Mission 21, which unlocks Food Storage (食料庫) and gives you a few more mecha enemies to kill. Complete Mission 14 to unlock Chapter 8.

8. Clear Chapter 8 to unlock Mission 66. Run Castle Gates (城門) or any nodes with an Evil servant to clear it and unlock Vent. Clear Vent (通風口) to complete Mission 5 and unlock Missions 33 and 53. Quest at either Vent or Great Corridor (大回廊) to obtain the 25 Drones needed to clear Mission 33 and unlock Chapter 9. Around this point, you should also have completed 30 Missions, which gives one copy of

Aerial Drive as a reward.

9. Clear Chapter 9 to unlock Mission 60. Run Vent until you clear Mission 53, which unlocks Secret Passage (隠し通路). Then run Great Staircase (20AP, Archer), or Vent (30AP, Rider) to complete Mission 60. This unlocks Stone Drop (石落とし). Clear it once to complete Mission 6, which unlocks Mission 39. Run Secret Passage (隠し通路) until you clear Mission 39, which unlocks Stone Shelf. Clear Stone Shelf (石打棚) to finish Mission 7 and unlock Mission 26. Continue clearing Stone Shelf until you complete this mission, which unlocks Chapter 10 (Main Quest).
10. Clear Chapter 10 and 11 and complete 50 missions to unlock Chapter 12.
11. Clear Chapter 12 to unlock Mission 17. Run Castle Gates (城門), Stone Drop (石落とし), Secret Passage (隠し通路), or Stone Shelf (石打棚) (depending on what other Missions you need to clear) to clear Mission 17 and unlock Chapter 13. Stone Drop is the best spot for Scarecrows so if you have any Scarecrow-related missions left, it is a good idea to run it.

• Side missions awarding Event Craft Essences: Mission 16 rewarded you with

  

  Golden Wings.
• Unlocked after clearing Stone Drop and Mission 40: Clear Mission 41 to obtain

  

  Aerial Drive. Secret Passage (隠し通路) and Right Shachihoko (右鯱) (unlocked later) are the best spots for completing this mission.
• Unlocked after clearing Stone Drop: Clear Mission 72 to obtain

  

  Golden Wings. Stone Drop (石落とし), Stone Shelf (石打棚), and a few later quests allow for completion of this mission.
• Unlocked with Chapter 8: Clear Mission 50 to obtain

  

  Nostalgic Form. Stone Drop (石落とし) has an Archer servant and is also good for Scarecrows.
• Unlocked with Chapter 15: Missions 81, 82, and 83 each award a final copy of the three Event Craft Essences.

12. Clear Chapters 13-15 and two Extra chapters to finish the story and obtain , which can be exchanged for Mecha Eli-chan or Mecha Eli-chan MkII (you may only pick one) in the event shop. They have identical skills but different illustrations, flavor text, names, battle sprites, voice lines, and Bond Craft Essences. (Craft Essences have different illustrations and flavor text but the same skill.)
13. Level and bring Mecha Eli-chan along for fights because she is involved in Missions 91 to 94.

• Missions 9, 80, 94 and 99 award , which are used to limit break/boost the Noble Phantasm of Mecha Eli-chan.

14. Obtain the Ascension Material (B Pellets) for your chosen Mecha Eli-chan by completing the below missions:

• Mission 35: Defeat 100 Drones - Vent (通風口), Under the Gables (破風の開), or Great Corridor (大回廊). Boost with Golden Wings.
• Mission 45: Defeat 60 Mass-Produced Mecha Eli-chan Units - Unlock Underground Factory (地下工場) by clearing the right-side quests of all three areas. This is the only Free quest where the Mass-produced units appear. Boost with Aerial Drive.
• Mission 52: Defeat 20 Archer-class Servants - Stone Drop (石落とし) or Old Well (古井戶)
• Mission 79: Clear the middle-lane quests of all three areas

Final Free Quest Unlocks

All of these mission are unlocked when Chapter 15 (Main Quest) is cleared.

• Mission 64: Defeat 20 Chaotic Servants - Unlocks Right Shachihoko (右鯱)
• Mission 25: Defeat 120 Pumpkin Knights - Unlocks Left Shachihoko (左鯱)
• Mission 48: Defeat 10 Huge Enemies - Unlocks Mission 49; Defeat 20 Huge Enemies to clear Mission 49 and unlock Oochidori Gables (大千鳥破風)
• Mission 55: Defeat 20 Rider-class Servants - Stone Shelf (石打棚), Right Shachihoko (右鯱), Burial Chamber (玄室)- Unlocks Under the Gables (破風の開)
• Mission 43: Defeat 20 Pumpkin Gazers - Secret Passage (隠し通路), Oochidori Gables (大千鳥破風), Great Corridor (大回廊) - Unlocks Burial Chamber (玄室)
• Mission 81: Clear all Castle Csejte Quests (9 Locations) - Unlocks Old Well (古井戶)

These CEs increase appearance rate of certain enemy types, similar to The Garden of sinners - the Garden of Order. The effect is capped at 100%; going over 100% will not cause more enemies to appear. If you have enough copies to limit-break one of these CEs to maximum, it is recommended to do so. Two of each are available from the Event Shop, and, by completing various missions, you can obtain three more copies of each:
