Lore

CHARACTER INFO

A French noble from the 15th century.
he repeatedly committed acts of abducting neighborhood boys one after another in his own domain, sexually abusing them and killing them.
He is later known as the model of folklore "Bluebeard."

BOND 1

Height: 196cm
Weight: 70kg
Origin: History
Region: France
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Gender: Male
A monster that yearns for God more than anyone.

BOND 2

He was originally strong of faith, but after Jeanne d'Arc was executed as a heretic he fell into despair and lost sight of God.
His evil deeds were meant as proof that God didn't exist, as God should punish bad acts.

BOND 3

[Prelati's Spellbook]
Rank: A+
NP Type: Anti-Army
Textbook of the Spiral Sunken Castle.
A grimoire with a magical furnace built-in.
It can summon an inexhaustible supply of monsters from another world.
Gilles de Rais is not a legitimate mage and doesn't have any training in magecraft, but his grimoire uses magecraft for him.

BOND 4

In order to help make some extra money due to financial problems, Gilles got involved with his friend, a priest named Francois Prelati, and did some alchemy. But at some point he forgot about his original focus and started trying to summon a demon.

BOND 5

There was worry that Gilles would start selling his territories to the enemy to raise money, so his evil deeds were used as an excuse to forfeit his lands, and he was put to death. The attacks on his treacherous evil deeds and blasphemy were nothing more than political theater.

Clear Interlude: Offering to God
He praised God too much, and as a result, began to doubt. He is a man that became obsessed with cursing God and denouncing Him. In the end, he met his own ruin without God judging him.
Only a Master that displays understanding of his passion and despair can command him as a Servant.

CHARACTER INFO

A French noble from the 15th Century.
Having repeatedly committed the deed of abducting young boys from the vicinity of his domains and then disgracing・slaughtering them one after the other, things reached the point in which he became known as the model for the later fairytale "Bluebeard".

BOND 1

Height: 196cm
Weight: 70kg
Origin: History
Region: France
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Gender: Male
A holy monster that sought for God more than anyone else.

BOND 2

He was once the owner of a highly pious heart, he fell of deep despair and lost sight of God after Jeanne d'Arc was executed as a heretic.
His cruel deeds were also a means to prove the absence of God (who supposedly punished such vices).

BOND 3

At first, Gilles got involved in alchemy along with his friend, the cleric François Prelati, in order to cover up for financial difficulties, but at some point he lost sight of the original purpose and began to concentrate on summoning of demons.

BOND 4

As others began fearing that he would sell over his domains to an enemy nation in order to raise money, as an excuse for the seizure of his territory, Gilles was convicted for his past misdeeds and executed.
The censures towards his blasphemy and cruel deeds were all nothing but political pretenses.

BOND 5

This man, who couldn't help but hold suspicions against God exactly because he extolled God too much and infatuated himself with scornfully curse God, was finally destroyed without being judged by God.
Probably, only a Master who shows understanding towards such zeal and despair can perfectly employ him as a Servant.
